Welcome to our blog on Ovulation! Ovulation is an important aspect of a woman’s reproductive health and understanding it can help in planning pregnancy, managing the menstrual cycle, and detecting fertility issues. In this blog, we will dive into the basics of ovulation, its triggers, signs, and how it affects fertility.
What is Ovulation?
Ovulation is the release of an egg from the ovary into the fallopian tube, where it can be fertilized by sperm. Ovulation is a crucial step in the menstrual cycle and it occurs once in every menstrual cycle, around day 14 (for women with a 28-day cycle). The egg remains in the fallopian tube for approximately 24 hours and if it is not fertilized, it will be absorbed by the body.
